In times of crisis, community counts.

Do you have financial and other challenges due to the flood? The HUB can help.

You don’t have to navigate this crisis alone. Trained, volunteer case advocates are ready to meet with you to discuss your specific needs and find solutions, if you live in Barnard, Bridgewater, Killington, Plymouth, Pomfret, Reading, or Woodstock. Emergency funds are available to help with short-term expenses and we can help connect you with government resources and other organizations if you need long-term support. The HUB and community partners pool resources and coordinate financial relief.

Want to support the effort? Donate to The HUB’s 2023 Flood Response today.

In addition to physical damage to homes and property people are experiencing reduced work hours and unemployment. The HUB’s volunteer case advocates can provide immediate financial relief to area residents. A typical emergency grant is $1,500. Funds are paid directly to merchants, landlords, suppliers, utility companies, and other vendors.

We bring together project teams that:

  • Identify community challenges to develop and implement solutions

  • Collaborate with other local groups

  • Leverage private and public resources

We manage the details so project teams can focus on the real work:

  • Projects use our 501(c)3 tax status

  • We manage administrative and financial responsibilities for projects

  • We provide guidance and shared resources for fundraising and marketing

We connect the dots between interested parties:

  • We help individuals with ideas figure out how to make projects happen

  • We connect volunteers to these projects

  • We provide donors and funders with an easy and safe way to make tax-deductible contributions
