Planting seeds of faith, nurturing hearts and minds

About

Woodstock Community Trust has given Little Branches a 501c3 home as they apply for their own non-profit status and raise funds for a new location. Previously operated as Woodstock Christian Childcare by the First Congregational Church, Little Branches Learning Center serves more than 50 families from Woodstock and the surrounding area, providing a nurturing and enriching environment where their children from 6 weeks to grade 2 can grow, learn and thrive.  Visit https://littlebranches.org/ for more information.

October 2025

Little Branches Learning Center has had a whirlwind of changes. We are now licensed to hold our PreK to grade 4 after school and summer programs at Woodstock Elementary School. The two classroom spaces will expand our capacity from 20 slots to 36 slots and we have already hit our 85% budget goal, without any advertising. We have hired Steven Bauer as our new Program Development Director and he will be taking over our billing activities from Dan Stickney, who retired after decades of service as our Financial Administrator. We now have 20 employees, with one new sub/summer teacher in the hiring process. We are looking for a couple more part-time teachers to work in the afternoons. We expect to submit our 501c3 application soon and have made significant purchases of furniture and equipment, mainly for our full-day program at the main location in the church, where we hope to expand a toddler class from 5 to 10 children.
